Early Childhood Educator

Join a team of committed educators and make a difference in the lives of children and families! Northshire Day School is currently hiring full-time Early Childhood Educators to work in our early childhood education program in Manchester Center, Vermont. NDS is an Equal Opportunity Employer.


Duties:

Applicants must be enthusiastic and have a passion for working with and educating young children, the ability to create a safe and nurturing environment, proficient written and verbal communication, knowledge about the STARS program, TS Gold, early childhood licensing regulations, and planning and implementing a play-based curriculum. Must be able to work collaboratively with colleagues and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Qualified candidates must be enthusiastic, flexible, motivated and committed to working in the field of early education and the willingness to complete the

required coursework to become a qualified educator. Preferred candidates will have skills and education in child development and learning, building family and

community relationships, observing, documenting and assessing children, using developmentally appropriate practice, building quality curriculum following the Vermont Early Learning Standards, ensuring a healthy and safe environment and a commitment to growing as an early childhood professional. Must be able to work collaboratively with colleagues and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.


Requirements:

Candidates must be available to work between the hours of 7:30am-5:30pm. Position will begin on or before August 22nd, 2022 in advance of the beginning of the new school year. Candidates must have completed a minimum of 12 college credits in Early Education or related field and have experience working with children ages 0 to 5. Candidates with an A.A. or B.A. in Early Childhood Education preferred. Will consider highly motivated Trainee with a High School

Diploma and a commitment to complete all required coursework.

Substitute Early Childhood Educator (per diem)

Must be able to work collaboratively with colleagues and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.


Requirements:

Candidates must have a high school diploma and completed Fundamentals of Early Childhood Education or are willing to in the first six months of employment. Preferred candidates will have an A.A. Degree in Early Childhood Education (or 21 related credits) and experience working with 0-5 year olds.

Kitchen Assistant (per diem)

Northshire Day School is looking to hire a Substitute Kitchen Assistant to fill in for our Food Service Director and Kitchen Assistant during vacations, holidays and training. Duties include: Food Preparation, Food Service, Dishwashing, Cleaning.


Requirements:

High School Diploma, Ability to lift 40 lbs. Previous experience preferred.
